If there's one thing we love, it's summer. And what comes with summertime? Concerts. We've got your lineup of the big dogs coming to Pittsburgh in July! Just don't forget to get refundable tickets in case it storms & your fav artist pulls a Wallen. Summer also brings lots of salad cravings so we dug deeper into the history of the beloved PGH salad.

More importantly than anything else, Maria finally let Britt go off about one of her favorite topics: Richard Bazzy at Schults Ford. YEEHAW!

People who don't think summer is the best season are plain wrong. Ella Fellas, Langley ladies and people who bought tickets to see Morgan Wallen have every right to be upset. But people who don't like Pittsburgh salads... are nuts. This week we've got Bandaloos, more Gennings Dunker, a pig house and the lineup of everywhere you'll want to go this week.

If you've made it to episode 10, thanks for keeping with us because this is one of our wiliest chats yet. It's a sweet one too as we took a deep dive into the history of the Pittsburgh wedding cookie table AND the real difference between jimmies and sprinkles. Looking forward to Wallen weekend and more of the best weather ever but also looking back at the coolest little blue moon and the end of an era with Jam on Walnut.
If anyone knows the Romper Stomper, tell her we want to meet her.

"The Air Freshener" has made its inaugural debut! It was a wet weather week in the 'burgh for MDW but we've got good weather and great vibes on the horizon. It's farmers market season, baby! We're talking about all our favorites, especially when it comes to night markets in every part of town we could find. What couldn't we find nearly enough history about, you ask? Rialto Street (AKA one of the steepest streets we know) used to be a ravine... where pigs were forced to the top to go to slaughterhouses?! Gotta love some Pigsburgh history.

Quote of the Week: "Maybe we'll go on vaca starting August 28th, then stay the 29th, 30th, 31st, 32nd, 33rd, 34th, and 35th?" Guess who HA

Poddy in Paris for the Steelers / Saints game on October 25th? Sounds like a biggg ole yes to us. Lots of updates in the football world this week with the Bos and Aaron Rodgers extending their contracts and the schedule announcements coming out. Somehow, Britt is more excited for local Greek food festivals than the idea of Paris and Maria is a nervous wreck about a recent rat report. Above all else, our correspondents across the region gave their best (and worst) stories from the South Side this week and we weren't surprised to hear some responses, but were shocked for others.
What we want to hear from you: where are the best fitness classes in Pittsburgh?! Anything you think we should try?

This episode, without a doubt, will show you absolutely how unhinged we become when talking about our favorite Pittsburgh law firms. You know who we're talking about (I'm looking at you, Edgar). We had a week filled with lots and lots of visits to local shops and restaurants, PLUS we're pumped for a PGH summer complete with a trip to the William Penn Tavern apparently, Shore Thing & Market Square for "Skate the Square."

We want to hear from you: Is it common knowledge that Pitt's Cathedral of Learning is nicknamed "Cathy"? It's news to us that some born & bred Pittsburghers aren't aware of this & we need to do a wellness check on the rest of the city now.

It was marathon week in Pittsburgh but this week felt like a sprint. Congrats to PGH's own Will Loevner who won the men's marathon and especially for all the runners who accepted jello shots whilst running up and down city streets and bridges. You're all wild. But not as wild as some of the stories we heard after posing the question: "what's a bathroom in Pittsburgh you won't use unless it's an absolute emergency?" Wow, wow, wow. Our fav quote? "My glorious cheeks never touch the porcelain raw." Outside of the bathroom, we ran into a ton of old friends and Maria (and Arnold Palmer airport) ran into trouble with the announcement of Spirit Airlines' closing. It's May and it's MAD out here!

We miss you already, NFL Draft! Us and 800,000 of our closest friends have a good ol' time going dahntahn for the biggest weekend this city's seen. The only thing missing was Maria's Mt Lebo idol, Daya. We got our butts kicked at Mind, Body, Yoga + Barre but definitely made it up to ourselves with a nice little spring trip to Sarris. Potentially the best part of the week (besides the draft itself), you ask? Meeting THE Hines Ward and the drivers of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile at a Heinz/Hines Draft Kickoff Party at Settler's Ridge Market District. Meeting Hines was great but Britt missed out on a chance to meet Ray Petelin from KDKA and still will not shutup about how upset she is. Will we ever have this much fun again? We frickin hope so!

It's a hockey AND football week in Pittsburgh! And we're pumped for (mostly) all of it. We're talking about all the NFL Draft events we think will be the most fun. Maria's talking about Steve Aoki and Britt isn't because she is just learning who he is. We're talking Friday night Pirates with the Zambelli fireworks show. We're talking Live! Casino Pittsburgh? And you better believe we're talking about Maria's Spirit Airlines flight likely getting canceled and Jomo the sweet lil rhino crossing the rainbow rhino bridge. Godspeed this week, Pittsburgh!

Welcome back, yinzers. Introducing: the weeky-reeky, AKA our weekend recap, which was a mix of candle-making and downtown tomfoolery, walking the Waterfront, having a few bevvys at Grist House Command and thinking way too much about Mayor Corey O'Connor doing cannonballs. Your average yinzer girl weekend, if you will. Also in this episode we share way too many thoughts on the Michelin Guide ranking PGH restaurants and an item that our mom could 100% be ranked for in the Michelin Guide (strawberry pretzel salad, duh). We're hoping/praying/dreaming that the big screen makes its way back for Pens Playoffs and we also can't wait for the North Shore's trees to find their way home. All that and a bag of chips!
